It is almost 1:00 PM at my dad's house. I suppose I should go get some lunch to eat. I am up in the attic, right now. (This is my favorite hangout spot, now. And I am almost always up here. ) The church picnic is today. I want to go.

…Oh hey! Look, Alex just text messaged me. Let's see what is says. It says, "No, Hals had 2 babysit & Joel had 2 go 2 dinner @ someones house. @!ex
That was a reply to my message, "Did Hally and Joel go to the movie thing?"
I didn't go to Alex's movie thing last night. I wanted to go, but my dad and sister went on a bike ride and didn't come back 'til late, so if they would've brought me I would've been really late, and they would've started the movie already. All it was was a movie & pizza and jacuzzing. So, I guess it would've been fun. (Although I was feeling a little self-conscious about wearing a bikini. So, I guess it turned out for the best. Goal of the week: Loose weight! Loose weight!) But, I had fun last night anyway. My dad and Julia got back from bike riding about 7:45 and then we went to Target to shop for movies. We shopped for about an hour. Julia and I looked at the DVD players and TVs for our attic. We could've gotten a DVD player, but we decided to wait 'til we had enough money for the TV and the DVD player, so we could get them at the same time. That would make sense. So, we didn't get any. But, we got these two really cool beanbag chairs for our attic (which I am sitting on a pink one, right now.) And, two of those little Chinese lamp things, you hang-up. Yeah, those are really cool. So, we bought some movies, then we went to Longs Drugs and rented Peter Pan. Then, we went home and it was almost 10:00 and we watched Peter Pan. Then, after that we set up the attic… it was so tight. And why am I saying, "was?" It still is!! It is so awesome, I cannot even explain, and I am just so proud of it, and I can't stop looking at it, or hanging out up in here. (Like I'm doing now.) I'm up here, sitting on a comfy new bean bag chair, watching the disco ball go around, and typing on a laptop, and watching my text messages from Alex about the party I missed. Turns out the only people who came were Jackie, Naomi, Nick, William, Ben, & Mark. So, I think I'm glad I stayed home. Because there wasn't that many girls to talk to. (Although, that would mean not so many girls that you have to compare yourself to. Although, I'm not saying I would.) And William and Ben would probably just poor a bucket of ice on me. Like, William and Joel did last time at Alex's last party thing. And, then Mark… omg, I'm glad I didn't go, now. He probably would be stocking me and trying to flirt with me, and I'd have to keep trying to avoid him.
Okay, so this morning I woke up semi-early. I went up to the attic to write my "black widow" parable thing, that I had been thinking about. Then, my sister made pancakes, so I went downstairs and had a second breakfast. (Bad me! Bad me!) Then, we had to do chores. So, I took a shower and got ready for the day and then I started cleaning the kitchen and the rest of the house, while I was listening to music. Then, the phone rang. I said I would get it, since I was thinking that it was Erik. But, my sister got it. And surprise! Surprise! It was Erik. I was actually right this time. I came in the room that my sister was in and her face was all red. I asked who it was—and she said Erik. She wasn't saying much and I could sort of hear him on the other end, asking if we were going to the church picnic thing today from 10:00-5:00. I told her I wanted to talk to him, so she gave me the phone. I said, "WAZZUP!" really loud and he said the same back to me.
Me: So, what are you doing?
Him: The same—nothing. Just bored.
Me: Oh. Are you going to the picnic thing?
Him: Ya, probably. I think it started at 10.
Me: Yeah—I might go sometime in the afternoon.
Him: Oh.
Me: Yeah. (Then my sister whispered, "ask him why he called. But, don't say I asked that.") No.
Me: So, you're just bored so you called a bunch of people?
Him: Yeah. I tried calling Nik. And, I called some people I didn't even know and then I hung up.
Me: Oh yeah. My friends and I prank call people all the time.
Him: Oh.
Me: Yeah, we usually just say you won yourself a life supply of mattresses or something, and they never believe us.
Him: Oh. (Laugh.)
Me: Except if they have caller ID, then they sometimes call you back and tell you to not call them.
Him: Yeah, except I have a thing on my phone where you press * 62 and you can block your number for people who have caller ID.
Me: Yeah. But some people don't except people calling who have blocked numbers.
Him: Oh.
Me: Ya.
Me: So, what is your sister doing?
Him: Which one?
Me: The littlest one.
Him: She has a cold.
Me: Oh. She might have gotten it from me, 'cuz I have a cold.
Him: No, she had it before that. Although, her hair was all sticky.
Me: Ya, I know. I got lip-gloss on her.
Him: Ya. (Laugh.)
Me: So, what are you doing? Just sitting there?
Him: Yup.
Me: And is your sister sleeping?
Him: No—she's just walking around.
Me: Oh. Okay, well I guess I'll see ya at the picnic thing.
Him: Ya. We need to finish our wrestling match. (I can just picture his smile.)
Me: Ya. (Laugh.) Okay.
Him: Okay.
Me: Bye.
Him: Bye.

Why does he call me? Or is he calling my sister? (Oh… bad thought.) I hope he's calling me… but why? Is he really that bored? Why isn't he hanging-out with Alisha if he's bored? I wanted to ask him, but I decided that I wouldn't bring her up anymore. That would probably just annoy him… and I know it just hurts me more, when I talk about her. Yeah… but why is he calling to ask if we're going to the church picnic today? Wouldn't he rather hangout with his girlfriend, at home, then go to a picnic and wrestle with me? But, whatever. I told myself not to bring up Alisha. 'Cuz it just hurts me to bring her up… and I don't even know her! My sister says that Erik likes me, but I can't be sure about that. 'Cuz I never heard anything about a break-up with his girlfriend and him. Well, whatever. He's just playing with my emotions…as usual. So, after that phone call I asked my dad if we could go to the church picnic and he said, "Why? Did someone call you to ask if you were going?" (Wow… he's a good.) "Ya." "Who?" "Erik." "Well, can he pick you up?" "I don't know." (Although that would just be weird to have him come pick me up, now that we're not going out.) "Where does he live?" my dad asked. "Near the school." "Oh… well, we'll just see if we can go, later." "Fine." Now, my dad probably thinks Erik likes me. He knows I like him… but Erik usually is calling me, so he has every right to think that. He probably won't believe me if I told him we're just friends. But, its true.
