Having Twins!

Dear Diary,
For a few months now, my mom has been pregnant. Not with just a baby, but babies. Two of them. They’re each of the opposite sex from each other and in they’re own separate sacks. Which makes them fraternal twins.
But, here’s the weird thing: They aren’t hers. They aren’t related to me in anyway. They’re not even related to my mom! Because they aren’t hers! If you’ve heard of this happening, then you’ll understand. But, still listen because you may think you understand but you could easily be mistaken. You could be thinking something totally wrong of what’s really the case, here.
Well, as I started, my mom’s pregnant with twins; a boy and a girl. It all started about a year ago. My mom was getting low on money, and needed to do something to raise it up. She went on the Internet, and to a site where people list their names and they’re problem on how they want to have a child, but for whatever reason can’t. My mom read through the list, and found a couple named Nichelle and Charles. Nichelle has been through three births. But, none of them successful. Nichelle was known for getting pregnant with more than one baby. Her first pregnancy was twins—it didn’t work out. Her second was also twins and happened exactly the same. And her last birth was with triplets, which also sadly didn’t work out. On her last birth, besides the fact all the babies died, she almost died along with them. Nichelle and Charles had been through a lot depression and sadness over the lost of all their children. No doctor could figure out what was wrong, with why Nichelle couldn’t have any babies. This was the problem that kept happening: Nichelle would get pregnant, but than after the first few months of being pregnant, she’d start having contractions and go into labor. Which caused the babies to be born way to early. Too early, to be saved. So, Nichelle and Charles decided to look for someone who could help them have a baby (or babies) for them. Now, to some, this might sound grouse or wrong. But, then that proves you don’t know about it. There’s a new way for my mom to get pregnant without doing it naturally. And a way that Nichelle and Charles can get their baby (babies) without having other jeans from my mom. My mom wrote to them, and for a while, Nichelle and my mom just e-mailed back and fourth, sort of like pen pals, getting to know each other. Soon, they hooked up and started to talk. They lived in Roseville, while we lived in Carmichael, CA. So, we weren’t that far away from where they lived. Soon they decided to try. What they do is take the eggs and the sperm, and put it inside my mom. So, she gets a deep shot, and then for a few days she has to lie down, to make sure the eggs or one of the eggs sticks, and starts developing. The first time, it didn’t work. None of the eggs stuck and they all came out. They waited and thought about it for about a month or two until Nichelle and Charles decided to try again. So, they tried again. And whoo-hoo, throw your hands in the air, it worked! In fact, both the eggs stuck. So, that was how my mom got pregnant with twins.
For months, everything went perfect. Both babies were in the perfect position…and I don’t want to sound rude…but my mom got fat! Really fat. Well, her stomach area did. She had never been pregnant with twins before. Right now, my mom has two girls and 1 boy. I’m one of the girls (the oldest) and then there’s my sister, and baby brother who’s almost 2 years old. So, we planned to say, once she’s had Nichelle and Charles’ babies, “My mom has 1 son, 2 daughters, 3 kids, been pregnant 4 times, and given birth to 5 children.” Just to confuse people, and make them think.

Then, something happened, just a few days ago. Since my mom’s a midwife, she works at a hospital where she has free access to the machine where she can check how the babies are doing. She also has friends there, where they can check her. One of her good friends, Dr. Netter, was checking on my mom, and said her tubes were getting thin. Which normally happens when it’s getting ready to open up, and signs that’s she’s going to start contracting. And when she starts contracting, that’s about more than 99.9% of the time means she’s getting ready to deliver. But, it’s too early for the babies to come out! It’s happening just like when Nichelle had her babies! This wasn’t fair! Everything was going so perfect. When, my mom told me, two days ago, I almost practically started crying. I know they weren’t related to me or going to be my baby brother and sister, but Nichelle and Charles were good friends with my mom now, and they were really nice people, and everyone was so excited how perfect everything was going. This couldn’t happen now. That night, I prayed and prayed that the babies would stay in my mom a few more months. Or if, they did come out early, please help them to live for Nichelle and Charles. The next day, my mom was going to visit a professional doctor who works with these kinds of things, so she could be checked on and make sure that really was the case.

Yesterday, my mom went to her doctor appointment. Julia, Quinten, & I stayed home. Also Krystal and Rachel were over, and they stayed home with us, too. While Barb went along with my mom. They came back with Starbucks’ coffee with smiles on their faces. “The Doctor said everything was just fine,” my mom told us. It was a miracle! Praise God! Just the day before everything was NOT okay or “just fine.” My mom even had said she was having minor contractions, which was a bad sign, for right at this time. My mom said it should be AT LEAST two weeks, until the babies would have a chance to survive. But, even if they were born, then, it still would be a high chance that they wouldn’t make it. But, since my mom’s professional doctor said everything was just fine, I felt a lot better, and not so stressed out, worried, and sad anymore. This was truly a miracle!
