I have never had such a horrible experience at a haunted house/forest. When I was first asked I thought it would be fun to go with a group and be scared a little, but it was not fun at all. When I got out of the car I realized that I hated things like this and couldn't remember why I was there. But I figured that since I was already there I might as well go through and be a part of the group. Well we ended up waiting in line for over 2 hours, so I was getting cranky and tired from waiting. By the time we got to the hearst (which I did not know when I was asked that we would be riding in a hearst) I was totally not in the mood to go through this forest but I already spent $10 on it so I had to go.

The big theme of the forest was chain-saws, and the idea of your going to get killed. So it wasn't just fun jumping out from behind stuff to scare someone. The point of the night that really got me was when a Freddy Krueger looking man jumped through a bonfire and came running directly at me holding an axe. I have never been so afraid for my life before, and the thought that really crossed my mind was that I was going to die. I screamed at the top of my lungs (normally the scream I use on rollercoasters) and hid my face in Hannah's sweatshirt (thank goodness she was there) and started to cry. I still have the picture engraved in my mind and I don't think it will ever leave me.

The entire place was extremely creepy for the part that was heavily related to satan. We actually had to walk through a place called Satan's Asylum, and at the end of the forest there was a room that had a satan baby in a cradle. It made me realize how the world views Halloween and its almost a way for Satan to kind of make a myth out of hell and thus make a myth out of heaven. Halloween is such a strong hold of Satan's and I will never be a part of something like this again. I don't enjoy feeling as though I'm going to die. Some of you may think I'm overreacting but if something like this stays with me for days and I can't get the scenes out of my head I say I'm not overreacting.

I just want everyone to be careful of what you believe about Halloween and encourage all of you to not let Satan get a strong hold in your life through something that may so simple as this.
