Material needs.... or covets???

So sometimes I get a bit depressed about my lack of monies. But as much as I think I don't have, I have a lot of nice things that a lot of people in the world don't have. So, is it selfish to want the things that I do? *sigh* Life is very difficult...

So which path in life would you choose? One has potential to pay off in overall happiness and money in the long run, but could be a long, hard road to get there. The other promises more of a steady, comfortable journey, with the possibility of great success later on, but not quite the "bursting" potential the first path offers.

I hate these little crossroads in life, and how trying to think of how to get the most out of life sometimes makes you feel selfish...

Ok, all joking aside, my dad recommended the following class moto to me when I graduated from Middle School (yes, we had a graduation ceremony in 8th grade): "Watch out for #1. Try not to step on #2."
