Why can't everyone be happy?

Ever been the product of a change that really upsets other people? It's an interesting place to be, and not one I'm fond of, though I've been there before. Someone of authority picks you over someone else and that person is upset about the situation.
Well, I realize everyone can't be happy all the time. I just hope we can all work through it and turn what is a negative to some into a positive.
