My First Entry

This seems to be the themes of newly created accounts. I'm just hear to try out this jemdiary thing. I've read through others diaries, and have been a regular subscriber of HOTBA's eDiary, which I'm disappointed to see going away. This site looks great, however, and I'm happy to be a member. Hopefully, I'll post things that some very few enjoy reading, though most of my rants about life are verbalized thanks to
Club Louie Radio.
My first entry is on expectations. Misguided expectations are things that I encounter in bothy my personal and professional life (professional..hah). People tend to assume many things, without clarification, then when things don't work out right, they become upset. I'm wondering what others think the right answer is to this riddle? How do people communicate and agree upon expectations? This affects everything from co-workers, friends, significant others, spouses, and finally customers (depending on your line of work). It might be an expectation out of a relationship, or performance expectation of another worker. The problem is when one person expects one outcome, while someone else is on a completely different page.
How in the hell do we get past this throughout life? I think this causes more pains and problems then most other things. Misguided expectations grow like weeds, and the more time that goes by, the harder it is to pull out the roots.
Regarding icons You'll never find one by my posts, because I don't like them. I'm not complaining, just informing.

so one wonders... who is responsible for setting these expectations? for example.. . I have one expectation for friends... where others have other expectations... so where did i stumble across my expectations and ... why do others have differnt?
just food for thought.

Differences in Expectations
Added: November 23, 2003, 8:45 pmBy: Pablo
I think there is always going to be differences in expectations. People will naturally set their own - maybe even without thinking about it. I think the main thing is to make sure both people understand those expectactions. For instance, if you expected certain things of me, then I could say, "BigA, you smoke crack. I'm not going to call you every night, Friend." Then you would know that I would not be able to meet the expectation, rather than after a week just wonder to yourself, "Why is this asshole not calling me."
Wow - did that make any sense?

we all set our own ... but still...
let me think...
Even if you tell me that I can't get my expectations fulfilled... i'm still gonna be upset taht you cannot meet mine...
point being... well i'm not too sure... but still... it deosn't matter if someone tells you they can't meet them... you still are disapointed.
