Diary So, I wasn't scheduled to work on Friday...so I came out to Houghton a bit earlier than planned. And then I called on friday to see when i had to work today, and i was told i didnt have to.
so i stayed out in houghton for an extra day. it was a blessing and a burden i thought. a blessing becuase my boyfriend is moving next weekend and i wont see him for 4 weeks and a burden because i literally live from pay check to pay check and it's hard to live when i dont work therfor dont get paid.
so this morning i felt kind of wrong about not being at work. like, i shoudl be there. so i listened to my voice mail (ps, my phone died yesterday morning and i believe i forgot my charger at home)...so i checked it and there were 3 messages from work saying i was supposed to be in at 745 on the I/T side!
so i called around 11 because that's when i checked them and my boss was "disappointed in me" because it was my job to find out when i should be at work. Well, hello, i didnt work on friday when the schedules are posted so i called and i was TOLD that i didn't have to come into work. What should i have done instead? drove into work on a friday night when i'm already out of town to check the schedule? Or better yet, call at 6am this morning to see if i'm on the schedule? even though it's a 2 hour drive back to marquette and i would have been late anyway...
grrr, i am so pissed off. i'm so done with this place. i just want a job where i know my schedule and it's the same every week and i make enough money to live. i want to buy groceries because i'm craving grapes...not because i have nothing left in my house to eat. lame.
i'm going home next weekend and hopefully i work something out with my parents so that i can move back home, because honestly, there is nothing up here that impresses me and makes me want to stay.
well, mouse is at school taking his final in econ...well, right now he's studying...so i have a few hours to myself to do whatever i want, which isn't a whole lot...maybe shower and make lunch and then watch mind numbing tv for a couple of hours...
