How long does it take to register?

Depending on if you choose quick or complete registration, it doesn't take longer than a few moments. Best of all, you're all set to log in as soon as you finish. No need to verify your account or any thing like that.

What is quick registration?

Sometimes it just takes too too long to register for websites. At JEMDiary, we know you're eager to just start writing. Choosing this option allows you to fill in all of the required fields right away and get writing. The other options are filled in by us. You can always modify these later in your settings.

What is complete registration?

Complete registration allows you to customize all of the options of your account in a few easy steps. You can add your profile and contact information among other information right away! The best part is that you can save and finish at any time. So if you get bored and too eager, just do the first few steps, and then go on to writing.

Why is the username important?

Your username is the map to your diary. Any URL that you share with your friends will have your username in it. You also use your username to sign in to JEMDiary. Don't worry - you can choose a different nickname than your username, however. Your username never changes - but your nickname can!

I keep getting errors with my username.

There are a few errors you could get. First of all, make sure that your username is 6 to 32 characters with only A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and _. You might also get an error saying the username is not available. This is because someone has this username already. Please choose a new one.

What is the Terms of Service - how am I agreeing to it?

The terms of service can be viewed by clicking the link by that heading or on any page by the links at the bottom of the page. By signing up to use JEMDiary or visiting any page of JEMDiary, you are bound to the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. These aren't evil - but they're necessary for your protection as well as ours.
